Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius admits that Vilnius has no real levers to negotiate lower prices of natural gas from Russia’s gas giant Gazprom.

“With a monopolist having dominance over suppliers now, we do not have real far-reaching possibilities to negotiate lower prices with Gazprom hence we need alternative supply. And we need to have it in place as soon as possible so that we could actually drive the prices down,” he said in an interview to Lithuanian Radio on Tuesday.
