Credit24 head Rūta Mylė says that moving work to the home has not caused problems for the team, given that the company offers its services digitally. However, in discussions with one another, they noted that during the quarantine, it has become more difficult to separate work from leisure.
“While many have become acquainted with the new daily routine, nevertheless, in our team as well we note that it is not easy to switch to a leisure mode and dedicate quality time for the family. This time spent together must be valued, and to those, who come to lack ideas, we wish to share not as experts, but as people to other people, what helps us cope with the quarantine,” R. Mylė says.
- Forget work after working hours
During the quarantine, the company head urges her team to maintain its previous daily regime and start and end work at the same time.
“I believe that it is necessary to separate work from leisure and find activities, which will help do so. For example, I like to walk my dog – this way I leave the home office after work and then return solely home,” R. Mylė explains.
The company staff advise to make an effort for the family and vary up even regular dinners with more creative solutions – invite your household to a new family restaurant, which just opened in the dining room. Or take your significant other on a date and go on a picnic in the car with beautiful distant scenery. Bring out the board games – the most recommended was Dixit, I Know and Uno.
- Learn together
The company staff are unanimous in that the quarantine is an excellent time to learn what you never found time for before. During time off work, they advise to learn drawing, knitting or learn a new foreign language – even watching movies in another language.
You can also take on self-improvement together and, for example, read books out loud or google answers to questions of interest. A Credit24 customer service specialist has an exciting idea – during the evenings, she watches the game show Kas ir Kodėl? and plays along. Whoever loses must make dinner, whoever wins has an hour of free time and does whatever they want, for example, treating themselves to beauty procedures.
You can also make use of free cultural activities – listen in on the opera portal metopera.org, watch the uploaded Juozas Miltinis Drama Theatre or Oskaras Koršunovas’ plays.
- Make cleaning up a game
Maintaining order in the home can become an increased challenge currently, however it shouldn’t turn into a cause for anger. Split up by rooms and race – when lightly exhausted from a competitive time of cleaning, according to a customer service specialist, you will longer have the strength to get angry.
Colleagues at the company also concur that maintaining general order in the home requires rules – ones that are clear and placed in an easily visible location. You can agree on never passing by a misplaced item – immediately place it in its place.
Dedicate up to 30 minutes a day to cleaning up and do so at a time you would normally be travelling to or from work. This way, maintaining order won’t take up time; you won’t get exhausted and won’t allow your home to become a mess, which could lead to conflict.
- Do sports creatively
While currently, you cannot go to a gym, it does not mean you can’t exercise otherwise. When doing sports, you will maintain not only an excellent physical condition but also a good mood and a strong immune system. You can teach various exercises to one another or find them for free on gym websites and pages. As for those wishing to exercise not only the body but also the soul, the company’s physical channel maintenance coordinator recommends the app Balance, which is currently free to use and teaches all the basics of meditation.
In freer evenings or weekends, you can seek a walking distance record. In order to avoid other people, and not breach quarantine conditions, Credit24 staff recommend family walking routes they have discovered:
