Alfonsas Eidintas proposed as Lithuanian ambassador to Greece

Lithuania's government decided on Wednesday to propose to President Dalia Grybauskaitė to appoint Alfonsas Eidintas as ambassador to Greece.

Currently serving as ambassador-at-large at the Ministry's of Foreign Affairs' Information and Public Relations Department, Eidintas would be appointed ambassador to Greece as of 3 September.

Eidintas previously served as Lithuania's ambassador to the United States, Canada, Israel and Norway.

Under Lithuanian laws, ambassadors are appointed by the president upon the government's proposal.
