Conservatives receive threatening news: Lithuania’s interests could be betrayed

Information has reached the opposition Homeland Union – Lithuanian Christian Democrats (TS-LKD) that there are plans to relinquish Lithuania’s current position of vetoing the European Union – Belarussian partnership agreement, which is being blocked due to the constructions of the unsafe Astravyets Nuclear Power Plant. Signatures have been gathered to organise an exceptional Seimas Foreign Affairs Committee (URK) sitting, to which the country’s head of diplomacy Linas Linkevičius is to be called.
