"We are still patient and cool about waiting. However, we are looking forward to going to the summit. But this is Everest. Lots of waiting and when the time come, we go," Edita informs 15min.

Team leader Phil Crampton keeps a close eye on various weather forecasts. So far, heavy winds prevent the team from climbing up. However, the Sherpas who are part of the team have already started taking loads to upper camps. The Sherpas returned to the Base Camp to rest as wind intensified, but were to resume their work on Monday.
"They [Sherpas] still have to do two loads to Camp 3 (8,300m). They have to get ready as the forecast shows low winds at Camp 3 around May 9-10. Our plan to leave to the Advanced Base Camp and on is on the 12th. However, these plans are just for now and could change if the weather changes. So, let's keep fingers crossed," Edita says.
According to Crampton, the Sherpas who returned to the Base Camp gave a severe description of what they saw higher up: "They explained that advanced base camp is a miserable place indeed at the moment with the constant wind and that many tents belonging to other groups have already been destroyed by the high winds. We know of several teams in position at ABC waiting to climb to the Col but unfortunately the forecasts are not looking so good for the next several days." Edita and her team were lucky enough to have a few days of good weather last week to climb to the North Col.
According to Edita, the team used their time in the Advanced Base Camp to exercise and train how to climb with ropes. Some team members, Edita says, had never done it before, so it was a time well spent.
"This [Saturday] morning I went for a short walk but the trek was so rocky that Margaret [Watroba from Australia, fellow climber] and I turned around. It was too dangerous as the rocks were loose and could fall and kill you instantly," Edita shares her experiences at the camp.
