Sheldon is a globally-known zumba trainer and has been invited to Lithuania to share the great Latin American energy all around Vilnius and fire-up every citizen in unforgettable open-air zumba class.
While staying in Vilnius, Sheldon has plans to get acquainted with our city more closely: “That’s my first time in Lithuania and I will come a few days earlier to walk around a city and have a chance to get to know your culture“.
Recently, he has been travelling all around Europe and leading many zumba events, parties, and marathons. He is also a guest star in TV shows in the Netherlands, where is well-known by zumba and fitness fans. His classes are always full of energy, and he is famous for his vivacious performances, charm, and ability to heat-up every public.
Zumba is a style of fitness and entertainment that is based on popular Latin American dance steps – merengue, salsa, ragaeton, cumbia, as well as hip-hop, flamenco, African dances, and many other styles. Zumba is very easy to follow, energetic, calorie-burning fitness style that is beneficial to the cardiovascular system, it tones abdominals and helps you stay fit in a easy and entertaining way. “It feels like celebration, but at the same time you develop your physical strength and get fit,” explains Augustina Kropaitė, the initiator of the zumba marathon and a trainer at dance studio Šokio harmonija.
Marathon in Vilnius on 16 August, 7 PM, will be headed by a couple of trainers who will be changing on a stage, while people dancing together with them will be involved in a swing of great energy and Latin American rhythms. The marathon will take place on Gedimino Avenue, in front of the Cathedral Square, so participants will not only have a chance to enjoy the performance, but will be surrounded by attractive views of the Oldtown of Vilnius.
The main idea of the event is to invite Vilnius citizens to support healthy lifestyle, join sport events within the city, and use the area of Vilnius for open-air activities. “It is going to be really hot and entertaining, it will be hard to stop moving,” organizers cheerfully share.
