Jonas Prunskis and Ona Valiukevičiūtė to head Parliament-World Lithuanian Community commission

The commission of the Lithuanian parliament and the Lithuanian World Community will be headed by Jonas Prunskis, a Lithuanian living in the US, and MP Ona Valiukevičiūte of the ruling Order and Justice party.

According to the resolution approved by the parliament on Thursday, deputy chairmen will include Irena Gasperavičiūtė of the WLC and Social Democratic MP Domas Petrulis.

Between 1996 and 2004, the parliament formed a commission with the Lithuanian community in the US. The commission was changed to the commission of the Seimas and the Lithuanian World Community in 2004.
