Kaliningrad held Lithuanian language competition

The 12th competition of the Lithuanian language was held in Russia's Kaliningrad region over the weekend, the Foreign Ministry has announced.

Among participants were 51 students studying the Lithuanian language and ethnic culture. The event in Chernyakhovsk was organized by the region's Association of Teachers of the Lithuanian Language.

According to the press release, about 800 students currently study the Lithuanian language in 21 schools in Kaliningrad.
