Egidijus Stancikas, director of Kaunas Drama Theater, said the sophisticated work requires extensive efforts.

"It is a great challenge for us to make decorations in cooperation with the Japanese, as the set requires Japanese precision and completeness, organizing the course of rehearsals is also hard, as (the premiere) is scheduled for the first days of January, and December is always a commercial month. We have a very complicated and interesting organizational process ahead of us. The Japanese testing will make us stronger, and our production capacities will be capable of working with any project," he told BNS.

Sugihara, Japan's honorary consul in Kaunas, issued Japanese visas to many Jews and Poles who lived in or searched for asylum in Lithuania during the Nazi rule, thus saving their lives.
