Lithuania awards former Polish ambassador Jerzy Bahr

Poland's former Ambassador to Lithuania Jerzy Bahr has been awarded by the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the promotion of Lithuanian-Polish relations Bahr is to be decorated with the Lithuanian Diplomacy Star.

The award was presented to Bahr by Lithuania's Ambassador to Poland Loreta Zakarevičienė on Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs.

The ambassador said Bahr had been awarded for promoting Lithuania and strengthening bilateral political, economic, and cultural ties between the two countries.

Bahr was Poland's ambassador to Lithuania between 2001 and 2005.
