Lithuania taking over chairmanship of OSCE Forum for Security Co-operation

Lithuania is taking over the chairmanship of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe's Forum for Security Co-operation as of Wednesday.

The Lithuanian chairmanship started with an opening event in Vienna, Lithuania's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

During the chairmanship, Lithuania will seek to resume talks on the renewal of the 2011 Vienna Documents on Confidence- and Security-Building Measures in an effort to adapt this key documents to new security environment threats.

57 countries take part in the forum activities.
