Lithuanian and Russian ministers exchange opinions on "dairy war"

A meeting between Lithuanian Agriculture Minister and his Russian counterpart took longer than planned on Wednesday night, yet no decisions were made. The reasons of dairy war were not specified, either, the web portal vz.lt reports.

The ministers merely exchanged opinions about the current situation, the portal reports citing informed sources of the Verslo Žinios business daily.

According to the sources of the business daily, Sergey Dankvert, the head of Russia’s Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance, should visit the Russian agricultural exhibition ‘Golden Autumn’ in Moscow on Thursday. He is expected to meet with Lithuanian politicians and discuss the measures taken against the imports of Lithuanian dairy products.
