Lithuanian filmmaker Gytis Lukšas elected to FERA Executive Committee

Lithuanian film director Gytis Lukšas has become the first Baltic representative elected to the Executive Committee of the Federation of European Film Directors.

Lukšas, chairman of the Lithuanian Filmmakers Union, was elected last weekend during the FERA General Assembly in Copenhagen, the union said.

The Committee is made up of seven members representing various European countries.

The FERA, established in 1980, unites 32 filmmaker organizations from 28 European countries.
