According to the census, 95,730 Lithuanian-born individuals resided in England in March 2011, including 39,817 in the capital London.
Among English counties, the highest number of Lithuanians are based in Linconshire, eastern England. The Lithuanian population there was 4,322 at the time of the census.
The statistics office will publish data for Scotland and Northern Ireland later this year.
Actual numbers of Lithuanians living in the United Kingdom are believed to be higher than the census data. In an interview to Lietuvos Žinios daily published last December, British Ambassador to Lithuania David Hunt said about 230,000 Lithuanians lived in his country.
