President to hand over symbolic Olympic torch to Lithuanian athletes

Lithuania's President Dalia Grybauskaitė has received a symbolic Olympic torch, which she will hand over to the country's athletes in London on Saturday.

Grybauskaitė received the torch from the Lithuanian Flame team that has traveled across the country, the President's Office said.

"I believe that the flame that traveled around Lithuania for the whole of July will light a triumphant fire in the hearts of athletes and the people of Lithuania. I congratulate the Lithuanian members of the Olympic family and Paralympic family. I wish you victories everywhere and always! Lithuania needs fighters and winners," Grybauskaitė said.

She will hand over the symbolic torch to Lithuanian athletes during her visit to the Olympic Village in London on Saturday.
