In an interview for the Žinių Radijas (News Radio) on Thursday, Kubilius said he planned to go to Poland next week where a meeting of prime ministers of China and many Central and Eastern European Countries would take place.
"I'll have a chance to talk to Polish colleagues about what’s really important, where joint decisions are needed, about economic and energy projects. In this case, I would propose not to dramatize the situation," Kubilius said.
The Lithuanian premier paid attention to Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski's words that ethnic minority problems and regional security issues should be separated.
"The fact that the Polish president said very clearly that one or the other issue related to ethnic minority problems in Lithuania or Poland, which politicians sometimes discuss in a very emotional way, should not undermine the region's important security issues, other strategic projects is the Polish president's very important message, I hope, Polish politicians and representatives of some political parties in Lithuania will hear. I do believe such a message, sent in Warsaw, is very adequate response to recent concerns we have had the chance to hear," Kubilius said.
