The Lithuanian Prosecutor General's Office said the notification from Sweden about the probe into unlawful border-crossing and violation of international flight rules was received on Monday.

Swedes will continue probing last summer's incident of Swedish activistsflying into Belarus from Lithuania to discard hundreds of teddy-bears with slogans in support of free speech.

It was the Lithuanian prosecutors who asked Sweden to take over the investigation.

A Lithuanian prosecutor has recognized two individuals – airplane pilots who reside in Sweden – as suspects in the case.

The Prosecutor General's Office has assured that Lithuanian authorities have done everything in their capacity and further criminal proceedings are only possible in Sweden.

The investigation revealed that the light airplane Jodel registered in Sweden violated international flight rules on July 4, 2012, by entering Belarus from Lithuania without the necessary documents and border-crossing permits and later returned to Lithuania.
