Turkish President Abdullah Gul cancels Lithuanian visit due to illness

President of Turkey, Abdullah Gul, called Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaitė last weekend and informed her of his decision to cancel his official visit to Lithuania due to illness.

According to the President's Office, Grybauskaitė wished her Turkish counterpart health and suggested some other time for the visit. The Turkish leader was scheduled to come on Wednesday.

During the phone conversation, the two leaders agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation, especially in the areas of economy and investment, the President's Office said.
