Association of Business Immigrants and Investors launches operations

On December 14, 2020, the Association of Business Immigrants and Investors was registered with the Centre of Registers. The Association of Business Immigrants and Investors will represent and unite business immigrants and investors from third countries who have temporary or permanent residential permits in Lithuania and operate businesses in Lithuania.

The association’s goal is to represent and protect its members and their interests and to meet their economic, business and organisational, and integration needs. The cooperation of Lithuanian citizens, businesses, business migrants, and government institutions in seeking to improve the economic situation in Lithuania creates favourable investment conditions for both Lithuanian businesses and for business immigrants.

To unite business immigrants and investors in seeking to resolve common problems in immigration, integration, and business activities in Lithuania. To pursue the most favourable conditions for immigration, integration, and business operations of business immigrants and investors throughout Lithuania in accordance with the law. To offer proposals to the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, the cabinet, ministries, and other state institutions on newly drafted and existing laws, ordinances, and other legal acts of the Republic of Lithuania that improve or impact the immigration, integration, and activities of business immigrants and investors.

To defend the rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of business immigrants and investors in the institutions of the Republic of Lithuania, the European Union and municipalities, and in international, non-governmental, and other organisations. To defend the rights, freedoms, and legitimate interests of business immigrants and investors at the Migration Department of the Republic of Lithuania and other state institutions.

To encourage the cooperation of business immigrants and investors, Lithuanian citizens, businesses, and government institutions. To assist business immigrants, investors, and their families integrate into Lithuanian society. To pursue other business immigrant and investor goals consistent with their needs and existing legislation.
