“This is available not only during working days but also Saturday. It was important to us to offer our clients a solution to receive their purchases as soon as possible and everyone, who makes an online purchase should have it at home on the same day, which is particularly important when buying non-prescription medicines as the medication is often needed here and now,” Justė Levčenkaitė, the director of Azeta, which manages the Eurovaistinė Internete service, introduced.
Having tested the possibility last week to make deliveries with the logistics start-up Ziticity, Eurovaistinė Internete noticed that this service is used by increasing numbers of clients day by day. “It might only have been a week, that this option has been available, but we see that our clients value it. On certain days, a tenth of our clients chose the same-day home delivery option. The responses of clients, who have tried the service have been very good, they enjoy the possibility of receiving the orders on the same day,” the head of Eurovaistinė Internete details.
Ziticity head Laimonas Noreika says that we will see increasing numbers of bike couriers making deliveries in the capital’s streets because it has been observed that increasingly many Vilnius residents are choosing the service. In consideration of the size of the packages, the distances involved, the air conditions and the need for a thermal regime, for every purchase the platform selects the necessary means of transport: a bike, a car or a minivan.
“We dedicate great deal attention to good customer experience, thus we care for not only informing about expected delivery times but also offer the possibility of tracking one’s parcel in real-time on a map. We invite to try it out and receive your goods on the same day – we believe that this service will become a new market standard,” L. Noreika states.
This is a novel service on the market as no pharmacy chain has before offered such rapid home delivery. The purchase can include non-prescription medicines, but they do not have to be included. The service allows receiving one’s goods on the same day if the purchase is made before 1 PM. This is particularly relevant currently when approximately half of all Eurovaistinė Internete clients also purchase non-prescription medicines.
When the quarantine ends, Eurovaistinė plans for clients to have the possibility of choosing a time slot for delivery, those using the Ziticity delivery services will be able to purchase goods for a different day.
When the quarantine ends, Eurovaistinė plans to continue developing the service and for client convenience, the option of choosing a delivery time interval, those using Ziticity services will be able also to purchase goods for a different day.
Same day delivery is free of charge when buying for 45 euro or more, while the regular price for such delivery is 4.99 euro.
