Pharmacists say that three months is ample time to accumulate valuable summer experiences; it’s just important to arrange your priorities. “A healthy summer is a summer without worries. We are here to help find out what safety measures we need, but it is also important to not forget to relax and enjoy summer because it is just so short,” pharmacist Jovita Juodsnukytė says.
Even simple, but often overlooked steps can help prepare for summer. For example, J. Juodsnukytė says that prior to the holidays, it is useful to visit a pharmacy to check your blood pressure, consult your pharmacist, who will advise what supplies are worth having during the holidays.
Also, Eurovaistinė beauty consultants can perform facial skin, hair and nutrient testing, as well as suggest the most suitable solutions. “Prior to heading out on holiday, I advise visiting and consulting your pharmacist, what you should have in your first aid kit and your cosmetics bag because this way you can be prepared for a variety of situations and at the same time gain the most benefit from your summer,” the Eurovaistinė pharmacist says.
Summer can be an excellent time to nurture your appearance. After all, it often seems that thanks to the summer sun, we all feel better. Beauty pharmacies head Aušra Vareikienė says that it is important to enjoy the sunshine safely and make use of relevant sun protection measures and for those, who do not enjoy sunbathing and just want a quick result – the right tanning cream. Pharmacist Jelena Deksnienė, who also contributes to the project, says that summer offers us various opportunities to strengthen our immune system and we can definitely reach autumn feeling stronger and better rested. “Fresh berries, garden produce, swimming in the sea – all this seems like good fun, however, it in fact also is a great help in strengthening our immune system,” the pharmacist says.
Across the world, the trend of people seeking to draw as much benefit from summer activities as possible is gaining ground. This mainly gained prevalence with fears of a second wave of the coronavirus – people wish to arrive in autumn being strengthened and more resilient.
Eurovaistinė board chairwoman Ingrida Damulienė says that this year, with us being exhausted from the lockdown, which lasted throughout spring, we await summer all the more. “We spent all of the spring at home, relinquishing many of the activities, which brought us joy. As such, I do not doubt that we will now want to reap the benefits of summer. We have all the necessary supplies in our pharmacies to help you avoid inconveniences and enjoy this time of the year. Our pharmacists are prepared to advise what to do so that after the summer, you would reach autumn even healthier and happier,” the board chairwoman says.
