While drawing on interest for the unique nature of the showrooms, the manufacturer invited customers only to a virtual tour, promising live openings in the near, slightly safer future. Before long, news reached customers that the official big launch of the showrooms in Vilnius and Kaunas will be held in the second weekend of summer 2020 on Jun 12, 13 and 14.
“The new concept LONAS showrooms are notable for their significantly increased assortment of goods and changed aesthetically. This will be our first showroom where clients will be able to try out not only mattresses and beds but also those recently introduced to the market already favoured by clients LONAS HOME textiles. The increased assortment has allowed us to look anew at the products we create and thanks to our strong team, create an exclusive, never-before-seen face of LONAS,” LONAS CEO Domas Jakutis says.
Interiors inspired by traditional crafts
The first LONAS HOME concept was born while coordinating the core values of LONAS – naturalness, comfort, quality and cosiness. The interior and planning were trusted to the capable Lithuanian architect team 2XJ Architects.
“Inspired by traditional crafts, through the new interior concept we sought to reveal exceptional attention to the quality of the item, to handcrafting and other values cherished by the LONAS brand. While creating the interior and design strategy, we sought to emphasise every product group, creating differing spatial characters. All the furniture and interior solutions were created especially for this project, focusing on attention to detail,” interior author and 2XJ Architects partner Jokūbas Jurgelis says.
Both the new LONAS showrooms are split into three main product zones – textile, beds and mattresses. Each zone, according to architect J. Jurgelis, is notable for its differing approach to displaying products. Goods are presented to clients so as to highlight their best traits, and visitors are offered the opportunity to try out and select the most suitable products.
“Particular attention was paid to the naturality of the material and the construction of exposition furniture. The choices of material and construction methods were inspired by folk furniture production, while pinewood arrays and plywood were used to manufacture the furniture. Also, the interior makes use of linen fabric, natural stone, recycled materials,” architect J. Jurgelis states.
“Namely, this is what has become the main the project’s main accent – both due to its aesthetic and value qualities. Finally, we believe that responsibly chosen materials form a different, more responsible culture of consumption and this is particularly important in the operations of manufacturing companies,” J. Jurgelis continues.
From handcrafted mattresses to precision made home textiles
The new concept showrooms opening in Vilnius and Kaunas are also unique in terms of their assortments. In them, customers will be able to see not only LONAS mattresses and beds, which are known for their quality and comfort but also a range recently introduced to the market, LONAS HOME textiles.
“The main mission of LONAS HOME is to supplement the sleep and home comfort cultivated by LONAS for years, bringing in cosiness and unique style. Within this new brand, we hold not only high-class bedding sets and sheets but also bedspreads, blankets, bathroom towels and bathrobes, which harmoniously match the bedroom, textiles for children’s bedrooms, exclusive handmade pouffes, quilts and many other home accessories. All these goods are selected to ensure consistency and harmony with other LONAS products,” LONAS HOME brand head Svajūnė Vainauskienė says.
All the home textiles on display at LONAS HOME showrooms are produced from only the highest – premium – class, natural and adhering to ecological standards materials.
According to S. Vainauskienė, the main advantage offered by the new showrooms to visitors is that in them, it is possible to select a full combination of bedroom comfort and style. Alongside home textiles, LONAS HOME showrooms will also allow visitors to find the Music collection beds, which have already gained favour among customers, Tricolour and Classic collection mattresses, and the particularly practical and appealing-looking modular system Jazz. LONAS HOME will also become an excellent location for those seeking inspiration, being filled with various home interior ideas.
