Pakrantė entertainment area opens beside Žalgiris Arena

Nemunas Island will be buzzing this summer, as a new entertainment area called Pakrantė is set to open on the 5th of June beside Žalgiris Arena. Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Kaunas residents are invited to spend some quality time in the sun with music and great food!

One of the main drawing points of Pakrantė will be the food zone, where guests will have an opportunity to choose from a variety of food trucks. Spicy meals from the Mexican kitchen, fish & chips, gourmet hotdogs, pizzas that are always in style, barbeque burgers and plenty of others will keep the visitors satisfied. The ones with a sweet tooth will find their dessert wagon, and a chance to refresh themselves in the SALA restaurant in Žalgiris Arena.

The entertainment area will be improved from previous food festivals with more comfortable seating, tables and a number of umbrellas. On the 5th of June, starting at 11:30 Red Bull DJ rhythms will boost your mood, followed by an impressive performance from DJ Mamania at 19:00.

The lovely Žalgiris dancers will be there to enjoy the food on Friday evening, as Žalgiris Arena announcer Andrius Ziurauskas will also find himself in Nemunas Island. You’ll be sure to notice #TimeOutZalgiris host Dalia Belickaitė around, too!

The first live concert will take place on Saturday, the 6th of June, as Saules Kliošas will charm everyone with their performance. The concert starts at 21:00, and tickets will be on sale starting Monday.

On the 13th of June, Pakrantė will see a concert from GIEDRE, while the following week, on the 20th of June, viewers will get the chance to witness a performance from Junior A. It is expected that a big part of Lithuania’s music scene will host concerts here, including some of its biggest stars.

Pakrantė will also be mindful of the current health situation in the country, as hand sanitizers will be available all around, and all health safety requirements will be taken into account.

Throughout the summer, each Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Pakrantė will be waiting for guests from 11:30 to 23:00. Meanwhile Žalgiris Arena continues planning even more entertainment in Nemunas Island this summer.
