“By offering stipends we are seeking to facilitate opportunities for Belarusian youths to study in our country and thus strengthen the academic and personal relations between us,” SBA president Arūnas Martinkevičius stated.
According to Vilnius University, upwards of 220 students from the neighbouring country have already expressed their desire to study at Lithuania’s oldest higher education institution. They seek to obtain degrees in economics, IT systems, English philology, international business, international project management and other areas.
“The decision by SBA is an excellent example of a responsible and caring business that we are truly thankful for. Without a doubt, it will improve our capabilities to offer studies to a wider number of Belarusian students for whom the support is truly relevant,” VU rector, Professor Rimvydas Petrauskas says.
The stipends are offered to both those aiming for bachelor’s and master’s studies.
