Make a fun matchbox advent calendar! Open for instructions.
What you need:
24 or 25 matchboxes or other small boxes.
A piece of cardboard, size is up to you, but it needs to be big enough to hold all of your matchboxes. The size of mine in this video is 10.7 inches by 10.2 inches.
Scrapbooking papers (I used approx. 3 12x12 papers) or Christmas wrapping paper
Something to use as numbers; it can be wooden/plastic numbers, glitter, stickers, diecuts, etc.
Glitter & any other decorations you want
Strong glue
Instructions:
Cover the cardboard with Christmas paper.
Cover the bottom of the inside part of the matchboxes with Christmas paper, and then cover the outsides of the matchboxes with Christmas papers as well.
Place the boxes on your cardboard (don't glue yet) and plan your layout. Make sure each box can be opened easily. You also need to carefully plan which way to attach each number (vertically or horizontally).
Attach/draw numbers on boxes and put in any other decorations you want.
Use strong glue to attach the boxes on the cardboard.
Decorate some more if you want.
You're done! :-)
