His pyrography art, the raw materials that he uses, and the themes in his artworks are highly influenced by his cultural heritage, history, and nature in his native Mountain Province inthe Phillipines. The artist has been exhibiting his works for international audience since 1993 and is one of the founders a president of the Chanum Foundation from 1996 that has helped to create an artist village in the Baguio City, eventually becoming a hub for aspiring artists throughout the country.
