Throughout the lockdown, it was only possible to purchase a single package of one non-prescription medicine, up to 50 masks and up to 100 disposable gloves. Since last week, customers can once again plan their pharmacy purchases more freely and purchase more than a single package of a non-prescription medicine, as well as their required amount of protective equipment.
Pharmacists note that the same amount of protective equipment is being purchased, no need is felt to buying large quantities and customers simply regularly refill their stocks of medical masks, gloves or disinfectant liquid.
According to the pharmacy chain’s head of communications, this lifting of restrictions facilitates customers’ planning of their purchases and frequency of visiting the pharmacies. “We have noted that customers always want to have certain frequently used medicines available at home; thus, they are inclined to purchase several packages in one go. Currently, they once again value this possibility and purchase more than one package. Usually, they purchase several packages of non-prescription painkillers, digestive aids and medicine to cope with heart problems,” Laura Bielskė, the head of Eurovaistinė‘s Communications Department says.
With the lockdown being loosened, it is once again possible to have one’s blood pressure, face and hair condition, blood vessel biological age, and nutrient quantities in the body tested.
Pharmacies continue to use safety measures that have become usual during the lockdown, and the safety of staff and customers remains the priority.
