Italy's Marzotto Group plans to move production from Tunisia to Kaunas

Turmoil in Tunisia is forcing Italy's fashion industry giant Marzotto Group to move its linen textiles production to Lithuania's second-biggest city of Kaunas, but decisions on the size of investment are yet to be made, the business daily Verslo Žinios reports.

In Kaunas, Marzotto Group owns Liteksas, which manufactures high-quality wool blankets and throws under the Lanerossi brand, as well as upholstery fabrics.

The Italian company is expected to take decisions on production relocation by the end of the year, the paper says.
