Lapinskas, 37, will start working at an unnamed international company in January, City Service said in a statement published on the NASDAQ OMX Vilnius website on Monday.
"It would have been ten years next year as I run the company. I am deeply familiar with the activities of the City Service group. It is an advantage on the one hand, but on the other hand, it becomes a limiting factor. I decided to make a change in my career, having considered opportunities of my personal and professional growth," Lapinskas said in the press release.
Neither Lapinskas himself nor City Service would disclose where he will work next.
The Vilnius-based group has operations in Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Latvia, and Ukraine. The total area of buildings serviced by the group amounts to over 25 million square meters.
Icor held a 63.92-percent stake in City Service at the end of June and Sweden's East Capital Asset Management held a 10.02-percent stake.
No major changes
Jonas Janukėnas, the new CEO of City Service, is not planning any major changes in the property maintenance and administration services group.
Janukėnas, who is taking up his new position on Tuesday, says that he will continue to pursue active expansion and acquisitions.
"The goals set out by the shareholder remain unchanged, that is, active expansion in Lithuania and abroad, new acquisitions and the broadening of the range of services," he told BNS on Monday.
Janukėnas says that he, as a member of City Service's management, has already contributed sufficiently to the company's operations.
"There is always room for improvement, but both I and the management team have worked at the company and have made our contribution, and now there is no need for any radical changes. We will continue to seek more efficient operations. This is what we are doing all the time," he said.
Janukėnas has been with City Service since 2007. He had been the finance director of Litesko, a heating supplier controlled by France's Dalkia, since 2001. Both companies are linked through their shareholders.
