Numavičius is unlikely to lose his number one spot for a long time, with his closest challenger lagging far behind, the magazine says. Vilniaus Prekyba Group is the owner of Lithuania's largest grocery store chain Maxima.

Žilvinas Marcinkevičius, the second-biggest shareholder of Vilniaus Prekyba Group who is now living in Ireland and developing new businesses, ranks second on the list, compiled by Veidas for the ninth time, with 835 million litas.

Further down the list are Augustinas Rakauskas with his family, owners of DIY chain Senukai, with 825 million litas, Lyda Lubienė, widow of late Bronislovas Lubys and inheritor of a majority stake in Achema Group, with 805 million litas, and Darius Mockus, the owner of MG Baltic, with 800 million litas.
