The company has already opened talks with the University of Klaipėda over cooperation in research, the Verslo Žinios business daily reports.
Water from frozen and thawed ice produced in Klaipėda will be exported since the product is too expensive for Lithuania’s market. A trial batch was produced in Russia. However, Melt Water has already signed a contract with Guartis, a Panevėžys-based company, which will supply glass containers.
The production facility, which launched manufacturing in February, currently operates on a one-shift basis.
