Set to take place at the Arts Printing House purposefully designed for comfortable viewing, engagement, and collaboration, TEDxVilniusLive will feature 6 different lounge areas where attendees can follow the TEDGlobal simulcast and dive into deep conversation together. The entire venue will be beautifully custom-designed to make attendees feel right at home.
There will be a day of optional pre-conference activities called TEDxVilnius Adventures, an idea worth sharing originating in Boston, Massachusetts with TEDxBeaconStreet. Organizers plan adventures varying from hot air balloon flight over Vilnius, Vilnius Old Town Segway Tour to Bobby McFerrin show and HM British Queen Birthday Celebration reception at the British Embassy on June 13, also visits to art exhibitions, theater and dance performances, tours of the Old Town, bike rides and as many little secrets of Vilnius as can fit into one day.
Other conference activities, such as TEDxYouShare, will celebrate and highlight the brilliance and dynamism of the attendees by giving them an opportunity to share their stories live from the TEDxVilnius stage. There will also be unique, collaborative, Open Space discussions created and curated by attendees.
“We are making all 4 days of the TEDGlobal live stream available for the first time, in Vilnius. We are excited to try out this new TEDx Live format”, said Lara Stein, Director of TEDx and the TED Prize.
With a lower price point, TEDxVilniusLive will be a gathering of emerging leaders, creators, doers and innovators who can’t make it to TEDGlobal, yet want to meet others who appreciate the value of attending a TED conference.
“What I like about attending TED and TEDx events is that I am surrounded by people who are in the midst of creating and becoming,” said Vladas Lašas, Entrepreneur, Global Soul, and the patron of TED and TEDxVilnius. He continues, “They haven’t made it yet. They’re on their way and hungry. That’s an exciting, fun crowd.”
There will be a total of only 300 attendees allowed to register and attend this first ever event. A waiting list will become available once the event has sold out. Tickets are currently on sale at: http://www.tedxvilnius.com/
The event is to take place June 10-14.
