Vilnius Kempinski hotel records 2.23-million-euro loss for 2012

Cathedral Square Hotel, which opened a five-star Kempinski hotel in the center of Vilnius last fall, reported 7.69 million litas (EUR 2.23m) in net losses on revenues of 2.549 million litas for 2012.

“In 2013, the revenues on the sale of hotel services are planned to reach 10.33 million litas,” Cathedral Square Hotel said in its 2012 report submitted to the Center of Registers.

Compared with 2011, the losses of Cathedral Square Hotel last year soared 2.8 times, and the revenues surged 26 times, driven by the opening of the hotel. For 2011, the hotel operator reported 2.748 million litas in net losses on the revenues of 97,000 litas.

The company AAA is the sole shareholder of Cathedral Square Hotel, which employs a workforce of 76.
