Lithuania's healthy life expectancy has improved – in 2005, a 65-year-old Lithuanian man could expect to be in good health for another 5.2 years, and a 65-year-old Lithuanian woman could expected to keep her good health for 4.3 years.
In 2011, EU average healthy life expectancy for residents of 65 years of age was 8.6 years for both men and women.
