In his words, Uspaskich was diagnosed with angina pectoris, gastric ulcer, and stomach hernia.
"After examining Uspaskich's condition and carrying out thorough tests, I can state with confidence that acute coronary syndrome or acute infarction have not been confirmed," Žaliūnas told reporters on Thursday.
"Popularly speaking, the probability of a sudden death, myocardial infarction, or stroke for Uspaskich is under 1 percent in the next six months," said the head of the Cardiology Unit.
The politician thanked his doctors and personnel, saying he was feeling "fine."
Uspaskich, 53, was admitted to the Kaunas Clinic with suspected myocardial infarction on Tuesday.
Due to the ilness, he failed to appear before a court where he was to give evidence in his party's case.
He stands charges in a bookkeeping fraud case where the Labor Party is suspected of concealing more than 24 million litas (EUR 6.9m) in income and 23 million litas in spending in the 2004-2006 period.
