Ivanov had appealed against a fine of 750 litas (EUR 217.4) imposed by Vilnius District Court for public demonstration of Communist symbols.
In June, the court also ordered confiscation of a portrait of Stalin from Ivanov who displayed it at Antakalnis Cemetery in Vilnius during a commemoration of the day of victory against Fascism. The official event was attended by the Russian, Ukrainian, Belarusian, Armenian and Kazakh ambassadors as well as members of Lithuanian organizations of war veterans.
Vilnius Regional Court held a hearing on Friday and issued its ruling on Monday.
In Lithuania, the distribution, use at a meeting or any other mass gathering or any other demonstration of images of leaders of the Soviet Communist Party carries a fine of 500-1,000 litas (EUR 145-290) with the confiscation of the image.
