Ratings will be assigned based on quantitative indicators covering areas like the level of patient satisfaction, the average time of treatment, the daily share of surgical services, the share of cesarean sections, the frequency of bedsore cases, the infection control level, ward comfort, as well as qualitative indicators.

The ratings will allow to objectively evaluate hospital work and will let patients choose a medical institution based on unified criteria, the Ministry of Health has said on Thursday.

The first hospital ratings will be announced in 2014.
