Lithuanian troops pay tribute to World War Two victims

Honor Guards of Lithuania's Armed Forces laid flowers at Paneriai Memorial and Antakalnio Cemetery in Vilnius on Tuesday in sign of tribute to victims of the Second World War.

At the Paneriai Memorial, soldiers laid wreaths at the memorial to Fascism victims and Jewish genocide victims, as well as a monument to troops of the Lithuanian local unit and the monument to Poland's Armia Krajowa and civilians, the Lithuanian Defense Ministry said.

Later at the Antakalnio Cemetery, soldiers of the Honor Guard paid tribute at a monument to German and Russian troops, at the memorial to victims of World War Two and the memorial to Freedom Fighters Pieta.
