Consumption per person aged 15 years and over decreased by around one pack to 53 packs last year, the statistics office said.
Lithuania's cigarette production increased by 8.7 percent in 2012 compared with 2011 and imports were up by 2.2 percent.
Klaipėda-based Philip Morris Baltic, which is part of the global tobacco group Philip Morris International, is Lithuania's sole cigarette manufacturer.
Meanwhile the average per capita consumption of alcohol in last year rose to 13 liters of legal absolute alcohol, 0.3 liters more than in 2011, preliminary figures from Statistics Lithuania show.
Alcohol consumption per person aged 15 years and over last year increased by 0.3 liters as well, to 15.2 liters, the statistics office said.
