Three lives lost on Lithuanian roads over past week

Three people lost their lives in traffic accidents in Lithuania over the past week, the Traffic Police Service has said.

Some 63 traffic accidents involving human injuries or fatal casualties were reported between 8-14 June, killing three people and leaving 74 injured. Twenty-four of the injured were underage.

Among the fatal casualties were two drivers and a cyclist, two men and a female of average age of 46 years.

According to preliminary information, intoxicated drivers were involved in two accidents, which injured two persons.

By 15 June this year, a total of 107 people including four minors were killed in traffic accidents in Lithuani, indicating a drop by nine deaths year-on-year.
