Two Latvian citizens killed in truck crash in north Lithuania

Two Latvian citizens were killed when a truck went off the road and hit a tree in Panevėžys district, northern Lithuania, shortly after midnight on Monday, local authorities said.

The accident occurred 0:25 AM On Monday when a Mercedes Benz 1117 driven by a Latvian citizen went off the road, hit a road-side tree and tipped over.

The driver and a passenger, also a Latvian citizen, were killed on the spot.
