The Lithuanian Gay League turned to court, asking to annul the part of the January 16 decree issued by Vilnius City Municipality, which revised the event location chosen by the organizers. The organization asked the court to instruct the municipality to allow the event on Gedimino Avenue in central Vilnius.

The city administration suggested that the July 27 pride rally be held on Upės Street, further removed from the city center, for security reasons.

According to a press release circulated by the court, Vilnius city administration is to submit its response to the claim and provide the necessary documentation by March 7.
