Spruogis delegated by the ruling Social Democratic Party became the second of three deputy energy ministers, Daiva Rimašauskaitė, chief adviser to Energy Minister, told BNS adding that the areas to be supervised by Spruogis had not yet been established.

Algimantas Zaremba, who was last year found to have confused his public and private interests, stepped down as Deputy Energy Minister voluntarily in mid-February, a month after his appointment to this position.
