During the run-off voting in repeated elections, A.Dumbrava secured the majority vote (6,924 votes or 68.93 pct) in the Zarasai-Visaginas constituency, leaving Nikolajus Gusevas of the Social Democrats behind with 2,973 votes or 29.6 percent of the vote.
In the Ukmerge constituency, K.Grybauskas with 5,606 votes or 61.27 percent was ahead of Janina Galiauskiene (3,378 votes or 36.92 pct).
A.Zeltinis won the elections in the Birzai-Kupiskis constituency with 5,598 votes or 58.43 percent, while his competitor Ritas Vaiginas of the Labor Party secured 3,983 votes or 41.57 percent of the vote in the constituency.
According to data provided by the Central Electoral Commission, the voter turnout in all three constituencies was under a third at 27.66 percent.
The election results will fortify the position of the ruling four-party center-left coalition in the parliament. The Social Democratic political group should swell to 40 members, while that of the Order and Justice party – to ten members.
The constituencies of Zarasai-Visaginas and Birzai-Kupiskis had to hold repeated elections due to election violations established during the general polls last October, while Ukmerge had to pick a new parliamentarian to replace MP Julius Veselka who passed away last year.
