Brussels trumpets EU member state support for China deal, but Lithuania intends to resist

Already next week, the European Union and China could announce an important investment deal. EU diplomats have confirmed to both the South China Morning post and to AFP that all twenty-seven member states unanimously consented this move. Upon the release of this information, murmurs immediately rose up – after all, a number of EU member state governments, including Lithuania’s new ruling coalition, are to the contrary in favour of the bloc having a stricter policy regarding Beijing. Vilnius is now radiating the resolve to resist.
