According to the poll carried out by public opinion and market research company Spinter Tyrimai (Spinter Surveys) on 13-20 March, Grybauskaitė would secure votes of 52.2 percent of respondents, indicating a decline by 3 percentage points since a poll in January.

Algirdas Butkevičius, leader of the Social Democratic Party, retains his second position from the January survey. However, his popularity has halved, from 8.7 percent in January to 4.5 percent in March.

He is just ahead of economist Gitanas Nausėda (4.2 percent) and leader of the parliamentary group of Order and Justice Party, Valentinas Mazuronis, with 4 proc.

Parliamentary Speaker Irena Degutienė went down from being third to the fourth position in January-March, with support of 3.5 percent of those polled.

Another 9.9 percent of respondents chose a different candidate, 13 percent said they would not come to polling stations at all and 8.7 percent did not provide an answer.

The survey interviewed 1,006 respondents across Lithuania between the ages of 18 and 75.
