Klaipėda port CEO Eugenijus Gentvilas in dilemma after winning seat in parliament

Eugenijus Gentvilas, member of the Liberal Movement who has won a seat in the next Seimas, is facing the dilemma of whether or not to quit his current job and go to parliament, the online news site Klaipeda.diena.lt reports.

"This decision is not only up to me. I will consult my party colleagues after the second round and will then make up my mind. I do not rule out working at the Seimas, but my priority is to stay in the port authority director's post," he was quoted as saying.

Gentvilas says that if the Liberal Movement remains in the ruling majority and he is able to keep his job, he will most probably choose the latter.

Gentvilas was number six on the Liberal Movement's list for the general election, but voters pushed him up to number three, securing him a seat in parliament.
