"I'd rather not express my opinion for now. The Energy Ministry is in charge of energy issues and the energy minister is shaping the policy in this field," he told reporters.
Gustas acknowledged the Visaginas project's importance for the economy, but still did not answer the question of what he thought about the project.
"It's somewhat too early," he said.
Gustas' predecessor, Social Democrat Birutė Vėsaitė, who resigned due to a possible conflict of interest, repeatedly expressed her opinion in public about the Visaginas project and energy issues in general.
