Lithuanian president signs 2013 budget into law

Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaitė has signed into law next year's government budget, planned with a 2.5-percent public finance deficit.

Grybauskaitė has said in a press release that next year's budget is in line with responsible fiscal policy goals.

"Lithuania must continue to maintain fiscal discipline and ensure the country's stability and credibility in international markets," she said.

The 2013 budget projects 25.69 billion litas (EUR 7.45b) in revenues, with expenditures planned at 26.43 billion litas.
