Lithuanian Prime Minister dismisses Valdemar Tomaševski's threats as PR move ahead EP elections

Lithuanian Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius believes that threats made by Valdemar Tomaševski, leader of the Electoral Action of Poles, to quit the ruling coalition is a PR move in the run-up to the 2014 European Parliament elections.

"I believe it was a certain PR move needed to show off before electors ahead of the forthcoming elections to the European Parliament. But I think we'll dot all those i's the upcoming week," the prime minister said.

Tomševski told journalists on Monday that he saw "no good prospect of cooperation" in the ruling center-left coalition as agreements were not implemented. He mentioned the fact that there was still no fourth position of energy vice-minister and talked about fund distribution for state investment programs.
